On Saturday, October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 3 :00 p.m., businesses along North End New Bedford’s commercial corridor, Acushnet Avenue will take it to the streets for a first-ever Sidewalk Sale. 

The Love The Ave Sidewalk Sale is being organized by the Community Economic Development Center (CEDC). It’s their mission to support North End merchants and community groups and promote vitality on The Ave – as it is affectionately known. 

On Saturday, October 16, retail businesses along Acushnet Avenue will open their doors and take to the sidewalks for the event. Long known as a dining destination due to the concentration of eateries on The Ave and indeed throughout the North End, the Sidewalk Sale is designed to spotlight the equally diverse storefront retail community. 

Acushnet Avenue is home to such unique businesses such as Guys & Gals Sportswear, K & M Sales discount store, Mejia’s Brother Furniture, Handy Andy’s Quality Vacuum Cleaners, and many more. 

Participating merchants will be listed on this website before the date of the sale. If any merchant would like to participate who may not have been contacted yet, simply let the Sidewalk Sale team know here. 

Love The Ave patrons and supporters simply need to head to The Ave from Coggeshall Street to Nash Road (and maybe even beyond) on the Sidewalk Sale day and check out bargains on the street. Remember to come hungry; The Ave boasts an amazing array of restaurants!
