Grabbing a hot dog on The Ave or in the north end is part of the cultural fabric of New Bedford. It’s home to a few hot dog shops, none more prominent than Dee’s with their famous Coney Island Dogs at two locations – and an especially sweet one on Acushnet Avenue that adds some boardwalk charm to the streetscape.
Owner Diane Martin writes, “My husband, Robert, and I are the owners of Dee’s Hot Dogs. We have proudly served the greater New Bedford area for 35 years and look forward to continue for years to come!”
For the Love The Ave & North End Restaurant Week, Sat. Sept. 21 through Sat. Sept. 28, Dee’s would like you bite into one of their dogs with either Coney Island sauce or Chourico sauce for $1.75.
