SPOTLIGHT ON: The Dog House Restaurant

The Dog House is one of those cherished places in New Bedford that over time have come to symbolize the sort of charm that evokes nostalgia as well as tummy-tingling nourishment – for the soul as well as the body.

The light, wood-paneled eatery on Coggeshall, at the very gateway to Acushnet Avenue and the north end, is beloved for its comfort food menu – embellished with great New Bedford Seafood dishes that are ample and affordable in addition to being delicious.

The Dog House is a superior neighborhood destination that has transcended that genre and since 1965 has become something special and uniquely New Bedford.

For Restaurant Week, the Dog House would like to draw your attention to their daily specials which, in the best old-school tradition, are advertised on a sandwich board right on the street – offering more than just a menu, but a sincere hello to old friends and new….

(You can also find the daily specials on the Dog House Facebook page.)
